I built the financial infrastructure for a scaling US startup. Now, I do it for you while you sleep.
I spent nearly eight years living, studying, and working in the US. After graduating from Trinity College in Connecticut with a degree in Quantitative Economics, I started my career managing full-cycle accounting and daily finance operations for a portfolio of small businesses. That hands-on foundation eventually led me deep into the weeds of US startup operations.
As the Financial Controller for Clutch Coffee Bar, I managed the finance function for a rapidly scaling business. I handled the messy reality of multi-location growth by running payroll across different state lines, fixing broken AP workflows, and building the exact profitability reports the founders used to make decisions.
During that time, I noticed a very specific gap in the market. Growing businesses inevitably hit a wall with their basic, data-entry bookkeeper. Their transaction volume spikes, their tech stack breaks, and suddenly the founders are flying blind. But at that stage, they rarely need (or can afford) a full-time CFO. They just need an operator who can fix the systems, manage the cash flow, and give them numbers they can actually trust.
I started After Hours Books to be that operator.
Today, I live in Istanbul, Turkey. Moving back gave me a deep, built-in advantage for my US clients: the time zone.
You do not need your finance partner sitting in a Zoom meeting with you at 2 PM. You need the heavy lifting getting done behind the scenes so you can focus on growth. I operate while the US sleeps, reconciling accounts, paying bills, and generating reports. You wake up to a clean inbox and pristine financials.
No agency bloat. No junior account managers. Just rigorous, high-level financial operations built for growing businesses.
When I am not untangling a messy chart of accounts, you can usually find me hanging out with my wife and our three cats. And if you ever find yourself in Istanbul, the çay is on me (and that’s Turkish tea by the way).
